Job Summary:
Having both direct and phone contact with patients, the Patient Services Representative is responsible for creating a pleasant, friendly, courteous, professional experience for all patients and clients of the company. The Patient Services Representative is the initial contact for all clients of the company and is responsible for irreproachable customer service and portraying the positive image of the company. The duties of the Patient Services Representative include scheduling appointments, check-in and check-out services, facilitating referrals, patient collections, maintaining an efficient patient flow and keeping patients informed of wait time or other information. Overall, the Patient Services Representative provides a caring and compassionate impression on all clients of the company.
  • Bilingual (Spanish / English) is REQUIRED.
  • High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of eighteen months of customer service experience in a high volume impact environment, preferably in a healthcare field, or within the company as a Patient Services Representative.
  • Excellent customer service expertise.
  • Ability to perform well in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to function effectively under stressful situations.
  • Must be flexible, resourceful and able to troubleshoot.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and set priorities.
  • Must maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all time.
  • Knowledge of electronic patient health system required.
  • Knowledge of insurance companies, payers and E&M codes required.
  • Must possess a current valid driverís license for the State of Florida.
