Position: Director of Nursing Operations
Location: Manatee County

Job Summary:
This position is accountable for leading, managing and directing all aspects of Nursing Operations within the company by assuring that services are administered utilizing professional standards with a strong focus on quality, cost, access, efficiency and exceptional customer service. He/she will be responsible for strategic planning, goal setting, monitoring/measuring work performance, fiscal/budgetary management, operations/workflow management, human resource management, project management, risk management, regulatory compliance, continuous quality improvement, information management, on-going communication, and customer service within Nursing Operations. He/she will also be responsible for all nursing processes, lab operations, patient referrals, reporting results/analysis, concurrent/retrospective auditing, training and development, analysis of key performance indicators, and all other indicated administrative management activities. MUST HAVE OFFICE BASED EXPERIENCE

  • Responsible for leading, managing, coaching and guiding all staff assigned to the department and maintaining positive, effective communication with providers, supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
  • Collaborates with health care providers in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the needs of patients and the organization. Develops solid, strategic business plans and departmental SMART goals.
  • Responsible for measuring, monitoring and meeting key performance indicators and departmental goals in accordance with the company’s established policies and procedures as well as industry best practices.
  • Administers fiscal operations for nursing department, including financial planning, budget development, approving expenditures, meeting or exceeding financial projections, reviewing financial reporting, and explaining variances.
  • Plans, implements, and administers nursing operations programs and services, including personnel administration, training, coordination of care, regulatory compliance, and delivery of evidence-based care.
  • Determines nursing operational strategies by conducting needs assessments, resource planning, cost/benefits analysis, and department requirements for peak performance.
Requirements:
  • Licensed RN in good standing with the Florida Board of Nursing
  • Minimum of an Associate's degree, preferably a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school of Nursing
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a professional nursing role
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a nursing leadership role
  • Strong, in-depth knowledge of leadership principles and practices, including: Nursing operations, strategic planning, goal setting, fiscal/budgetary management, operations/workflow management, human resource management, project management, risk management, continuous quality improvement, regulatory compliance, information technology, customer service and evidence-based patient care
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, EPM and EHR software
  • Current CPR certification
  • Florida State drivers license
